Olympia Match

Very unusual game from 1960s Germany. Uses rubber bellows to blow air into the players bases and thereby move the ball towards goal!

Nicely made in rigid plastic but utterly bonkers!

Olympia Match box
Olympia Match box
Typical economical card box. Big heavy leather ball!
Playing pitch
Playing pitch
Nicely designed playing pitch. Very unusual bellows construction. Five a side with static goalies. Card pitch, plastic players and goals.
Rubber bellows!
Rubber bellows!
Each player is linked to a rubber bellows on the side of the pitch. Pressing the ball causes air to shoot out of the players base.
Players
Players
Hard plastic figures with air holes in their bases. The pitch surround looks to have been modeled on a boxing ring.
Shut that door!
Shut that door!
I can only assume that Larry Grayson had a large following in West Germany and they modeled toy footballers on him.
Achtung! Balls
Achtung! Balls
Tiny plastic balls for the game. The word Achtung! never fails to bring back childhood memories of Commando magazines and Victor comics.

If only Jordan had been around to endorse this game.
