Texaco England 2006 set

The 2006 World Cup set of football collectables issued by Texaco. Originally a 23 player set (plus Sven) there was then a further issue of 5 other players who were added to the squad. The extra five were Lennon, Downing, Carson, Walcott and Hargreaves.

23 players?
The set was promoted as having 23 players to collect. Technically true but there is also a Sven disc as well making 24. This image does not show the original 24 discs to confuse further!!

The further five
...welcome back. To confuse us all Texaco later issued a further five players making 29 discs in total. However these additional 5 discs still had the '23 players to collect' strapline on them!
