Premier League (TAF)

Another relaunch of the TAF 424 football game by the wonderful Tom Waterman - the one with players on big blocks, also issued previously as Grand Slam and also to be subsequently relaunched again as Premier League 2000 and in a range of local derby sets

The reissued 424 game came in a number of 'local derby' sets. This one features Leeds against Manchester United.

The game is very well presented and the player figures excellently painted. Arguably the best feature is the video showing the actual game being played.
Player figures
Player figures
Nicely printed playing figures on the famous large block bases that this gam eis famous for. The player figures are very similar to the Subbuteo 'heavyweight' figures.

Some of the scaling of the goals and keepers looks a little odd. Here the centre forward is about to blunderbuss in a thundering hot on goal.
The goalkeepers
The goalkeepers
Unlike the Subbuteo keepers, the Premier League goalies require a helping hand from a large sheet of perspex plastic! Maybe Rob Green should have one made?
Kits available

Leeds and Man Utd kits shown. Many other teams were also available in 'derby' sets.
